Student Counsellor
Emma is studying her Level 5 Diploma at Stamford College. She takes a person-centred approach to working with adults and children, completing her 100 hours of professional practice on placement at Hope Meadows.
Working with Students
Supporting student counsellors with their placement helps us to deliver our funded projects to a high standard, giving clients access to counsellors who are at the cutting edge of research into mental health and wellbeing. Students complete this unpaid work to help refine their professional skills and practice, and we're very grateful to them for doing so.
Students at Hope Meadows receive several weeks of foundation Equine Assisted Therapy training additional to their studies before taking on clients. They also access supervision with our Lead Counsellor, and regular CPD.
