Eleanor, Hannah & Jess
Student Counsellors
Eleanor and Jess are studying for their MSc Counselling (Level 7) at the University of Lincoln. They take a person-centred approach to working with adults and children, completing their 100 hours of professional practice on placement at Hope Meadows.
Hannah is studying for her BA in Psychology and Counselling (Level 6) at Bishop Grosseteste University. She takes a humanistic stance to counselling, working only with adults to complete her 100 hours of supervised practice.
Working with Students
Supporting student counsellors with their placement helps us to deliver our funded projects. Students complete this unpaid work to help refine their professional skills and practice, and we're very grateful to them for doing so.
Students at Hope Meadows receive at least 10hrs of Equine Assisted Therapy training additional to their studies before taking on clients. They also access external supervision, internal supervision with our Lead Counsellor, and regular CPD.
