Grounded
Designed to support good mental health through meaningful occupation.

Grounded is a funded project for adults in Lincolnshire who are working with young people in education settings. This includes teachers, teaching assistants, and senior leadership in mainstream, specialist or alternative settings.
These equine-assisted sessions are for teaching staff who are experiencing mental health difficulties such as depression, trauma, and anxiety, or occupational challenges such as stress, burnout and compassion fatigue.
Through this project, you can access 5 sessions of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy or Equine Assisted Coaching for £10/session. Sessions are delivered 1:1 by our team of psychotherapists, therapists in training, and a coach. All are highly trained, registered, supervised, and fully insured.
FAQs
Am I eligible?
If you live in Lincolnshire and work with young people in an education setting, then yes. If you want to double check with us, just pop an email to enquiries@hopemeadows.co.uk.
How do I access the project?
Fill out the form on this page and your details will be added to the waitlist. We'll then contact you when a space is available for an initial assessment.
What happens at the initial assessment?
This is a 30 minute session with Dr Emily Walters to introduce you to our setting, talk about what's going on for you, and make sure we're able to offer you the right kind of support. Following this, you'll be offered a regular space.
When will my regular sessions be?
We are open Monday - Saturday, 10am - 6pm (evening and weekend spaces are in high demand). You'll be matched with a therapist based on your availability, so please use the form to tell us if you have specific days/times you need.
How much does it cost?
Your initial assessment is £10, following that you will have 5 sessions of either therapy or coaching at £10 per session. A session is 50 minutes long.
How often do I come?
If you are on the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy pathway, you will be offered weekly or fortnightly sessions. If you are looking for Equine Assisted Coaching, you will be offered fortnightly or monthly sessions to give you time to put things into practice between sessions.
What about after the 5 sessions?
Depending on the availability of your therapist/coach, they may have capacity for you to continue with your sessions at their usual fee. This will be discussed with you during the 5 sessions if appropriate.
