Sara McIver

Connected Equine Programme Lead

Hi, I am Sara and I am the programme lead for our Connected Equine programme, working with both children and adults. Whether you have used reward-based training techniques before or are completely new to it, our Connected Equine programme can show you a new way of building relationships with horses.

I love working with people who have never really felt like they “fit”. Those who lack confidence but would love to make a difference to the animals they are surrounded by. I love supporting people who would like to find a different way of working with animals which is kind, ethical and reward based. My aim is to create a safe space for clients to try something new and explore horse behaviour, making it accessible to everyone in the hope we can change the way we work with horses in the long term

No two sessions are the same, although some activities may be similar, we will be working on the finer details of body language and how animals learn. Each session will be supporting relationship building with our horses using reward-based groundwork exercises with the aim to build up to riding exercises if appropriate.
